Whilst Gold prices have hit record levels for several years, trading at $1170 dollars per ounce and we produce over 3 million ounces of the stuff but the communities where the ore is mined, Obuasi, Konongo, Prestea, Tarkwa, Terbebie,Kenyasi e.t.c have not benefited at all
