Poet, writer, dramatist, actor, teacher, politician, diplomat and statesman, Professor Kofi Awoonor was born in Wheta on 13 March 1935.
Former Council of State Chairman, Prof. Kofi Awoonor, died in the terrorist attack by al qaeda-linked Al-Shabab in Nairobi’s Westgate shopping mall.
