Awoonor, who was 78, was in the city to participate in the Storymoja Hay Festival, a celebration of writing and storytelling.
Former Council of State Chairman, Prof. Kofi Awoonor, died in the terrorist attack by al qaeda-linked Al-Shabab in Nairobi’s Westgate shopping mall.
