Hon. Pancho and some executive having a discussion: The picnic is held annually during the Labor Day Weekend to present; freebies like back-to-school materials to the kids and at the same time bring members and their families and friends together to spend a day at the beautiful Tibbetts Brook Park.
They used this day of fun and festivities to give back to the Community Special thanks to Kwabena Manu aka Honorable Pancho, a Trade Unionist at the Westchester County Government, who worked extremely hard to make the picnic a great success. At the picnic, families were able to enjoy games like checkers and chess. There was also a soccer match between the executives and the rest of the members; in a hard fought game the executives won by 10 goals to 9 on penalty kicks after the game ended in a 2-2 tie at the end of regulation time.
GAW would like to express our sincere thanks the Parks Commissioner of Westchester County for allowing the GAW to hold its annual picnic at Tibbetts Park.
