Aspiring National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alfred Ababio Kumi, has warned that anyone, particularly persons from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who attempts to mess with NPP members or ballot boxes during the 2028 general election will “meet their God.”
According to him, the NPP of 2024 will not be the same party in the 2028 general election, warning the current government that the NPP will meet them “shoulder to shoulder” should they attempt to repeat what he described as acts of misconduct during the 2024 elections.
Alfred Ababio Kumi, popularly known as Adenta Kumi, asserted that under his watch, what happened during the 2024 general election, where he claims some of his party’s candidates were beaten and ballot boxes were taken, would not happen again.
“This new NPP is a new party altogether. The NPP of 2024 is not the NPP of 2028. We are sending a warning to the NDC: we will meet them shoulder to shoulder. What happened the last time, when they misbehaved and took ballot boxes and beat some of our candidates, under my watch, that would not happen,” he said.
Adenta Kumi maintained that if anyone tries to “mess” with any NPP member or ballot box, they will meet their God, stressing that although he does not know how they will meet God, he is certain that they will.

The NPP youth activist also said his experience serving at the Manhyia Palace, where he held a gun for Otumfuo, had made him unafraid of confronting anyone.
“I am saying this without fear. If anybody attempts to mess around with any NPP person or the ballot box on that day, they will meet God. As to how they will meet God, we don’t know. I am not afraid of anybody. I served in Manhyia, and we are not afraid of anybody. By the grace of God, I held Otumfuo’s gun. We are not afraid of anybody,” he stated.
The aspiring National Youth Organiser said he had made a personal commitment to do whatever it takes for the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, to win the 2028 presidential election.
“We are only here to serve Ghana, so if they don’t want peace, we will show them what power is. I have personally promised my heart that we will do whatever it will take to make Dr Bawumia become President. Whatever we will do to win seats to become the majority in Parliament, we will do it,” he noted.
He further stated that if elected National Youth Organiser, he would not operate solely from Accra but would spend time in constituencies across the country to better understand the challenges facing party members and the wider population.
“I’m not going to be a National Youth Organiser who will sit in Accra and work. I am going to be a National Youth Organiser who will stay in every constituency for at least two nights because we need to be able to feel the problems of the people down there,” he added.
