Laboma Demolition: Itz Tiffany suffers major setback as popular 'Box Bar' razed

A three‑storey beach bar owned by Ghanaian entrepreneur and musician Itz Tiffany has been demolished at Laboma Beach, with furniture and equipment worth tens of thousands of cedis reportedly destroyed. The bar, which had been in operation for less than a year, was among several businesses affected by a recent demolition exercise at the popular beach destination, according to a statement by Elite PR. According to eyewitnesses, Itz Tiffany was at the scene and watched as her three‑storey structure was brought down; some of the business’s belongings, including expensive equipment, had not been removed before the demolition. These reportedly included furniture, refrigerators, generators, drinks and other equipment used in the operation of the bar. The demolition comes less than a year after the bar began operations, leaving itz Tiffany with a significant loss in property and business assets. The entrepreneur has since spoken briefly about the situation on the bar’s Instagram handle. “itz BOX BAR Laboma Beach is officially closed. It’s difficult to put into words what that space meant to us. It was more than just a bar. It became a home for good times, friendships, celebrations, laughter, music, and so many unforgettable nights. “We may have lost the building, but we haven’t lost the memories, the love, or the BOX BAR spirit. One chapter has ended, but our story continues,” a statement issued on social media read. Itz BOX BAR was not the only establishment affected by the exercise, as Pink Flamingo and ULA Beach Club were also reportedly caught up in the demolition.
