EOCO ‘hunts’ Wisdom Dogbey, John Bitar Gyamfi in latest wanted list

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has declared two men, Wisdom Dogbey and John Bitar Gyamfi, wanted in connection with alleged offences of defrauding by false pretences and money laundering. In separate public notices issued on September 29, 2026, the anti-corruption and economic crime agency appealed to the public for information that could help authorities locate the two individuals. According to the notice concerning Wisdom Dogbey, he is wanted by EOCO over the alleged offences of defrauding by false pretences and money laundering. “The above-named person is wanted by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) for the alleged offences of Defrauding by False Pretences and Money Laundering,” the notice read. EOCO issued a similar notice for John Bitar Gyamfi, stating that he is also wanted in connection with alleged defrauding by false pretences and money laundering. The agency has asked anyone with information on the whereabouts of either man to assist in bringing the matter to the attention of the authorities. Members of the public can provide information at EOCO’s head office, located adjacent to the Old Parliament House on Barnes Road in Accra. Information can also be submitted at any of the agency’s regional offices or the nearest police station. EOCO, however, did not disclose further details about the allegations against the two men, including the circumstances surrounding the alleged offences or the amount of money involved. The agency is therefore relying on information from the public to help locate Wisdom Dogbey and John Bitar Gyamfi as investigations into the alleged offences continue.
