Ashanti will not disappoint Bawumia in 2028 – COKA assures

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Asanteman COKA, has assured former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia of the region’s support in the 2028 general elections. Addressing party supporters at the NPP National Delegates Conference at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 3, 2026, Asanteman COKA said the Ashanti Region remained committed and united behind the goal of helping Dr Bawumia win the 2028 election. He said as regional chairman, he would lead the party’s efforts in the region to secure victory for the NPP. According to him, hard work, determination and unity of purpose would be critical to achieving the party’s objective of returning to power in 2028. Chairman COKA further said the people of Ashanti had seen what he described as Dr Bawumia’s competence and vision and were prepared to support his presidential bid. He added that the region would intensify its efforts at all levels, from the polling station to the regional level, to maximise the NPP’s votes in the 2028 elections.
