Ghanaian netizens have called out seasoned media personality Andy Dosty over comments directed at his female colleague, Tima Kumkum, which many have described as inappropriate and constituting sexual harassment in the workplace.
The controversy follows a video circulating on social media in which Tima Kumkum was engaged in a light-hearted conversation with Andy Dosty while encouraging the audience to tune in to his Y2K show on Adom the following day.
However, during the interaction, Tima appeared unsure about the exact name of the programme and turned to Andy Dosty for clarification.
Responding to her, Andy Dosty said: “That was not important at the moment. Let’s go and let me sleep with you.”
Tima Kumkum appeared to distance herself from the comment and sought to clarify the nature of their relationship, stressing that Andy was a mentor and an older brother to her.
“Andy, you are my mentor. You will make people assume there is something between us, but there is nothing. You are my big brother,” she said.

Tima went on to explain that she had known of Andy Dosty’s work long before she entered the media industry, noting that she watched him host television programmes when she was only in Class Two.
However, Andy Dosty repeatedly maintained his line of conversation, suggesting that because she had eventually joined the media space and come to meet him, she should allow him to make such advances.
The interaction ended with both media personalities laughing, seemingly attempting to keep the exchange light-hearted.
The video has sparked strong reactions online, with several netizens arguing that Tima Kumkum appeared uncomfortable and was attempting to defuse the situation through humour.
Some viewers pointed to her body language and repeated references to Andy as her mentor and big brother as signs that she was trying to establish boundaries during the interaction.
Musician Deborah Vanessa was among those who criticised the exchange, describing it as workplace sexual harassment and saying she could sense Tima's discomfort.
“Sexual harassment in the workplace. I can feel her discomfort from here. Eww,” she wrote.
Another netizen called for disciplinary action against Andy Dosty, saying: “He must be suspended or fired pls.”
A separate social media user also referenced Andy Dosty’s reported reaction when guests arrive late for his programmes, contrasting that with the comments he made during the interaction with Tima.
“This guy gets angry and insults artiste when they’re two minutes late on his shows. Look at what you’re doing bro.”
Another netizen focused on Tima Kumkum’s response and body language, arguing that she appeared uncomfortable and was deliberately trying to make the situation less tense.
“Sis is 110% uncomfortable. She’s trying to make the situation light so he will stop. You can see she’s pulling away, making statements like you’re my mentor and I was in class 2 when I first found out about you, etc. Others will say he’s rather joking but all those gestures he’s doing are not a joke,” another wrote.

— Dr. Afua Nicki 🇬🇭 (@nickirich14) October 6, 2026This kind of casual sexual harassment is so rampant in Ghanaian workplaces. If you complain, you’d be tagged as “too-known” and difficult to work with.
— helly r. (@whollyshite) October 6, 2026this. is. not. right, @andydosty. you’re one of the media guys that demands so much respect you sometimes don’t even deserve. take a look at this video & ask yourself if it was appropriate. secondly, does this mean that’s what you do to the female NSS personnels who can’t say no?
— ً (@gr8mxn) October 6, 2026Corporate Ghana is so messed up… this is like a normal work place practice in Ghana and it’s so disgusting… You have co workers playing wife and husband and making sexual jokes to each other and it’s very normal to them smh
— Tamalejayz (@Tamalejayz) October 6, 2026This isn’t fair on her at all . She’s avoiding the whole conversation by being deliberately argumentative but in a funny way setting boundaries but OG still pushing himself into a sexual harassment suit.
