As soon as John Mahama lost 2016 elections, he started cutting sods left right and centre, what I told a friend is, this guys a a smooth con man, he knows any government will undertake those projects, but he wants to take credit for those projects, that’s exactly why he was cutting the sods. Now, every ongoing and completed project is John Mahama’s. NDC knows 80% of Ghanaians are gullible so they play with their minds.

THE KUMASI, Takoradi and the Tamale airports are to be refurbished to international standards by the end of this year for the Confederation of African Football tournament (CAN 2008) to be held in Ghana.
With these objectives, the Ministry of Aviation has tabled a proposal before cabinet for approval for the commencement of the project.
Speaking on Peace FM, an Accra based radio station yesterday, the Minister of Aviation, Madam Gloria Akuffo said the rehabilitation of the three airports would cost government US$43.65 million.
She said the Takoradi airport rehabilitation would cost US$17.55 million while that of Kumasi would be US$13.6 million. US$12.5 million is earmarked for the Tamale airport project.

On the Kotoka International Airport (KIA), the Minister said the third phase of the KIA project would continue.

She stressed that temporary rehabilitation would be more expensive as it would not last.

Accra, Kotoka International Airport, Ghana, Night Flights, Kumasi,
The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) was established as a result of the decoupling of the existing Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) in line with the modern trends in the aviation industry.
The company was registered in January 2006 with the responsibility for planning, developing, managing and maintaining all airports and aerodromes in Ghana namely Kotoka International Airport (KIA) and the regional airports namely Kumasi, Tamale, Sunyani as well as various airstrips.
The Company commenced business on 1st January 2007. The government of Ghana is investing large amounts of money, into the development of the airport infra structures, of the three main airports. Whiles Kumasi Airport had an extension of the runways, included lightening upgrades, Tamale Airport is being in complete re-development, to archive full international standards. Latest development project; Ho Regional airport (Volta region), which is expected to open December 2016.

The Minister was reacting to a report from Kumasi that the airport was without water and lights to guide aircraft to land on the runway.
She stressed that temporary rehabilitation would be more expensive as it would not last.

So why didn't NDC make it an international airport? Is it not because it wasn't ready to be used as such.? NDC always want to take credit for everything in Ghana. You performed abysmally when you were given the opportunity.

This was what NDC failed to do in 2016, they were not responding to NPP'S propaganda with facts. So many Ghanaians fell for the lies. Kudos Sammy Gyamfi.

even if NDC chop some of the $29million on run way and landing system on an international airport, its far better than NPP blowing a whopping $59million just to dig foundation in the name of building a cathedral. so between N ...
