The Kumasi-Yeji route is now the most lucrative route for Fulani armed robbers in Ghana. I lost a lady neighbour to these robbers July last year. A driver dodged a bullet that went on to hit her. There is a lucrative market going on right now between Yeji and Kumasi. Fish from the Volta Lake is the main market but people carry all kinds of goods to Yeji from Kumasi and come back with other goods for sale. People carry large amount of money on them and the Fula robbers know this. The road is bad with bushes and potholes around and that slows he drivers down and the Fula armed robbers are taking advantage of this. They used to be located on the Techiman-Kintampo-Tamale road but the road is now well constructed. This is why the drivers are still speeding on that road causing so may accidents. Most of the armed robbers have now moved to the Kumasi-Atebubu or Kumasi-Yeji road. I am sure the police know about this. As to whether they are patrolling that route properly I can't tell.
