What is cultural about everyone having to stop work because a priest is being buried? Nobody knew this priest while he was alive. What was he doing as a priest?

Where was the Police Administration when the Kumasi Traditional Council imposed a curfew on Kumasi during the burial of the Asantehemaa? What legal authority did that council have when they imposed the curfew on Kumasi? The Police are applying double standards. The Police should learn to apply the same standard across the length and breadth of Ghana.

My gud frnd plss don't expose ur ignorance. The Ga adangbes have paramouncies and each paramouncy is autonomous. The person in question is the worlomor of the Nungua state hence the ban apply to all living on Nungua stool lands which includes nungua itself, spintex, sakumono, parts of east legon, and many others. In da case of the asantehema all of the asante state has to comply with da ban. Nonetheless the LA or Gbese or Ningo/Prampram or the Ada state can decide to also put a ban on their states in solidarity of the nungua state. Even a large portion of Nsawan land belongs to the Ga state as well as kasoa through to Afiadenyigba close to Toje/ Kpotame in the Volta region. So my frnd be educated. If u are on someone's land learn to respect their traditions. Let's learn to live in harmony by respecting the traditions of others to avoid needless clashes. Long live the Ga-Adangbe state which extends to the eastern region and parts of south Volta. Long live Ghana

Ghana Police always reactive to issues , when are they going to be proactive and be on top of issues so many commercial activities in this area comes to a halt because of the earlier directives by the traditional authorities

The Ghana government should not give the impression that one tribe is better than the others. Same level of respect should be given to all Ghanaians. Double standards always lead to tensions. One Ghana One Destiny One Respect

I bet u da Ghana police service is the cause of most conflicts in da nation. The Ga's have their custom and tradition why shd it take da police to come out to say this. Even if there was an agreement da Nungua paramoncy must b the ones to issue da statement and the police will only confirm it. Who dare intervene wen da asanteman issued their ban. The police are irresponsible and clueless. This can bring chaos. Let's learn to respect traditions.
