Instead of useless arguments , this is a very critical observation which has been made and should be pursued.

There may some truths in the observations of the MP. However, facts on the ground do not support most of the instances he gave. If a check is made on the Scholarship Seretariat, it may turn up to have more non-residents awardees than residents of Greater Accra. In spite of the facility being stationed in the capital.
However, the country must open up, there is too much concentration in Accra and Kumasi, Takoradi and Tema. Hence, the congestion and filth all around us.

Kudos Hon Annoh. This is some of the little national wrongs that must be righted now. For years only the politically and the influentially connected benefited and their wards from that. Many a bright student has fallen by the way side because the parents were poor, whilst scholarships were awarded to children of the rich and affluent. And there were times when scholarships were awarded to wards of NDC members only. This nonsense must stop and stop now. The field must be open for all.

You have identified gaps in equitable access to the services of Scholarship Secretariat. It is clear that those in rural areas and many cities outside Accra have limited or no access to these services. Why not consider the use of solar powered computers to ensure that people do not have to travel to Accra to access services? Why not do it over the web? Creating multiple offices across the country requires money, properly trained personnel. We should be thinking about bridging distance and access to services with the world wide web and solar powered computers. The technology is in London, Ontario. One of those behind it is a Ghanaian. Check out WeWi on the web.
