When the British entered Ghana, they marveled at the monarch system of the Asantes. They then went back to Queen Elizabeth and told her that they have seen a monarch in Africa that is exactly like theirs. On hearing this, the queen visited the Asante Kingdom, and upon finding out that, indeed, the monarch of the Asantes was similar to that of the British, she established bilateral relations with the Asantes and gave the Asantehene a diplomatic passport to visit Britain at anytime he liked. That relationship has been in existence till date. That is why the daughter of the queen did not visit any Chief, but the Asante King. It was the same Queen Elizabeth who christened Kumasi as the Garden City of West Africa.

Kudos free, the white man respect people who believed in themselves. And Ashantis always stand for their right, other tribes don't understand the difference between self confidence and arrogant so they always think Ashantis are arrogant ,no as human you need to have self confidence, proud, self esteem and love your local language before the white man would respect you.so those tribes pretending to speak grammar then the British what are they saying I taught the Queen's young sister would go and see their village chiefs.

Is it not because the aroma of the Asante Kingdom has diffused to far away lands to attract other monarchs? Just asking.

Ashantis and Akyems are the same people. It's like a big brother and smaller brother. Akyems see Ashanti hene as the bigger kingdom. No one has ever contested that, so don't make noise when there's no issue here

Okyenhene does not belong to Oyoko clan but to the Asona clan. In Asante Edweso, Offinso and Akyem Abuakwa all are one people who separated in Adanse and ended up at their respective destinations. However, the Chief of Asiakwa who happens to be the Nifahene (second in command) of the Akyem Abuakwa state is an Oyoko. As for him he's the ancestral brother of the Asantehene. One of his predecessors married the Okyenhemaa, that's how he became a member of the Akyem-Abuakwa state.

It's a disgrace to us as Ga-Adangbe people who are hosts of the presidency and capital to miss such an opportunity like this. On the normal circumstances, any dignitry that visits the president should pay a courtesy call on the Ga Manste. I hereby advocate for the chietancy in the Ga-Adangbe traditional council to close their ranks to deserve a visit of a dignitry.
