Our politicians cannot lie their way to make Ghana better and they surely cannot make fools out of every Ghanaian.
The political and academic elite class in Ghana have never seen a need to think or seek solutions for our problems without taking a page from how other countries solve theirs; we must not copy for the sake of copying what others do. Ghana's ECG is failing and so has our parliament and presidents past and present because no one (smart or intelligent) makes modification to an existing house without having a copy of the original building plan to study or unless the building is being demolished and started afresh. Ghana has been trying to increase electricity production and expand distribution and yet not the ECG nor parliament knows or have ever reviewed original plans to know how to supplement existing infrastructure to make better decision. Furthermore why is it that poor management/administrators at government agencies are not removed instead of selling government assets to private owners as solution to mismanagement? Can anyone in this country of ours point to a sold government institution that the new owners has replaced every worker it had with new workers from within Ghana or from outside? No and never. New owners/partners always make good and productive workers out of the same rank and file workers. So why sell any part of ECG? Does Nana Akufo-Addo and members of parliament think the partners in this ECG deal has money siting in a bank somewhere and not going for a bank loan to meet his/her obligation? Is the partner making investment in ECG knowing it is going to fail? So if the new partner(s) see profits why does no one in parliament or the presidency see what the investor(s) see and provide the needed funding or the management changes needed to keep ECG as Ghana's own?

The term of the agreement should not be more that 10yrs. After that it could be renewed upon viable assessment.

AS I HAVE ALWAYS SAID, THE PRESENT POLITICIANS AND THE SO CALLED NOISY EDUCATED WITH BIG DEGREES AND PHD TITLES DO NOT KNOW WHERE WE ARE AND WHERE WE ARE GOING IN THE 21st CENTURY.
