Who is a farmer and how do they become farmers? The ex-gracia for MPs is uncalled for and must be cancelled. It is a way for them to suck the state as long as they live. They use it to do businesses that turn to hinder the progress of our economy by importing agricultural products and frustrates our farmers instead of encouraging them to produce more.

Today's politicians know better, they are smart and are into farming already. The evidence are there to show. Sammy Okujeto, Sampson Ahi, Minta Akando, John Jinapo, all of the NDC are known to be in farming and methinks sententious Kusi Boafo should have known this.

I'm the National Best Mango farmer 2011. I've my B.Sc. in agricultural from University of Ghana-1996, EMBA-2004 from GIMPA. Currently I'm the MP for the good people of Kintampo North.
Farming is application of sciences, technology and business mgt on the field.
In other jurisdictions, one requires a license like medical professionals before you're allowing to produce agricultural commodities for the market.
To be successful in agricultural as a business, it calls for trained and skilled human resources. In Ghana I'm of the view we have to motivate and encourage trained agriculturist, agric engineers and agribusiness professionals to operate mostly along the various agricultural value chains.
