Ibrahim Tanko, the head coach of Accra Lions FC, has hailed his team's victory over Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League as significant.
The strategist led his team to a momentous triumph against the Phobians on Wednesday, marking their first-ever win in this matchup.
In a post-match interview, Coach Tanko commended his squad for their excellent execution of the game plan, which secured them a win in the challenging Week 28 fixture of the Ghana Premier League season.
"Facing Hearts of Oak, we anticipated a challenging match. We instructed the boys to stick to their usual style of play, confident that opportunities would arise and we'd capitalize on them. Securing all three points against Hearts of Oak is indeed satisfying," remarked the Accra Lions head coach.
With this victory, Accra Lions have ascended to third place in the Ghana Premier League rankings.
