it is very amusing to hear some people day-dreaming that Akufo-Addo would be the panacea to our problems.
If those who are yearning to see Akufo-Addo's presidency would be sincere to themselves, they would openly proclaim that the man has no track record which calls for him to elected as the President of Ghana at his advance age.
Even though Mahama is facing challenges with his Presidency, it does not warrant or call for a regime change. Ghanaians would live to regret should they replace President Mahama with Akufo-Addo who does not have what it takes to salvage the country from it's present predicament.
Every developmental process requires some kind of STABILITY so frequent changes in government tends to affect or curtail the development initiative put in place by the preceding government. For the sake of stability, former President Kufuor suggested the extension of the number of years a President should be in office. If at the end of his current mandate, President Mahama has the opportunity to be in office for another four years why do we have to go for Akufo-Addo whose only desire is to become a President? Let us think wisely and rally behind the President to help build a better Ghana.

People just get up and talk without looking at things from the right perspectives. What is it that made Akufo Addo's presidency crucial? What has this man done as his single contribution to the development of mother to earn him the presidency? Is it the habitual leading of thugs in the name of demonstrations for nothing? This man can not point to a single achievement. I dare the writer to tell Ghanaians what Akufo Addo is capable of doing which president Mahama is not doing? Unless, this old man is a magician. He has served as minister in two important ministries under Kufour and the poor records are there for all to see. When as the foreign minister, he was unable to to take on Yaya Jameh for murdering our brothers in cold bloo in that country. Under his watch our diplomatic passports got missing only to be found with his relatives who were using them for international drug trafficking and the rest.
Documents on drug cases in which top NPP members were involved got vanished in his office without trace.
Tribal bigotry and incitement against certain ethnic groups by his Ashanti/Akyem are his daily calls. What is good about such a person? Akufo Addo's presidency will plunge Ghana into a Somalia like country. With his arrogance and disrespect for other tribes,Ghana will be doomed. What is it that this man knows better than president Mahaha, as far as governance is concerned? How many people has he ever taken charged of? This is the man who could not even control his own wayward children. Even if president Mahama is not of his best, at least, we are enjoying peace and stability contrary to what the NPP is telling the world. Could same be enjoyed under this tribal bigot old man who has just yesterday endorsed Osafo Maafo's ethnocentric reckless statement? Ghanaians would regret if they should make such big mistake. This man only wants power for his Akyem family members and for his selfish interest and "nada mas"

Why must Nana Akufo-Addo become the president of Ghana before he can shift his lazy thinking processes into gear? Has most Ghanaians who've had the opportunity to serve in numerous government posts as Nana Akufo-Addo has not made the most out of it? Under Nkrumah's CPP did government not build estates? Did major cities not have government run bus systems? Were streets not cleaned each day by PWD workers? Nana Akufo-Addo cannot run his campaign on any of his lifetime of unfulfilled wasted time in any government post and uses unpolished and unsophisticated surrogates to tout delusional pie in the sky promises good for the day dreamers in Ghana. These partisans have not seen anything free they will not accept. Nana Akufo-Addo is like any other politician of late and making him out to be the next coming of Ghana's man-made demi-god is silly. He was in office with Kufour, saw Kufour give out the nation's lands to cronies and party loyalists and chose to look the other way. To pretend Akufo-Addo will do good by Ghana what he could not in a lifetime is the ultimate delusions befitting the bought and sold in Ghana.
