    She was born on 21-01-62 (check wikipedia). She finished her first degree in 2009 (I think) hence she finished at age 47. If what the lawyer is saying is true, then she is exampted from doing National Service.

    If she completed UDS at the age of 45 then she is exempted from doing NS. If she was not 45 at the time of completing UDS and deliberately refused to do NS then she is culpable.

    Please note that if she completed her education at the age of more than 45 but below, then whether she is 60 yaers she has to do it except by by the NSS Board

    It is about the Interpretation of our laws, regulations, directives etc.

    Much thought ( i.e objectivity ), wasn't put to it when it was drafted and has never been reviewed so it is easy to circumvent it.
