Shatta Wale has once again sparked massive debate online after a confrontation with Jomoro Member of Parliament Dorcas Affo-Toffey during his performance at the 2026 NkrumahFest.
In a video making waves on social media, the dancehall artiste, at the peak of his performance, was briefly interrupted by the MP who attempted to speak with him.
Shatta Wale, who was unhappy about the interruption, raised concerns about how MPs and ministers cannot be interrupted in their various offices while working, adding that the Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister for Transport should refrain from interrupting him on stage.

Shatta Wale stated that he was equally in his office working and, therefore, would not tolerate any form of interruption.
“I can't disturb you ministers, especially when you are working in your various offices. I am fucking working in my office. I am working,” he said.
Subsequently, after, Shatta Wale was seen on stage apologising to Ms Affo-Toffey and allowing her to speak.
“So you were telling me something; what were you saying?” Shatta Wale quizzed after pausing the set.
Dorcas Affo-Toffey explained that her main reason for interrupting the musician was to express her gratitude to the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, for organising the event.
“I just want to appreciate Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah for organising this massive programme for the Nzema land. Every year, it gets better, and we are praying that next year it will get better,” she said.
The video has, however, triggered massive reactions on social media, with netizens expressing diverse views.
While some online users have supported Shatta Wale’s conduct, others have slammed the musician for what they described as gross disrespect towards the MP.
