Baby girl rescued from pit toilet in Botswana

A newborn baby has been rescued from a latrine in Botswana, BBC.com reports

In a post on its Facebook page, the government-owned Daily News newspaper the emergency services spent two hours retrieving the infant who is now being treated at a nearby hospital in the south of the country.
