Dr. Duah's presence to inspire next generation of African leaders at YAWC 2024 - Founder

Ghanaian business magnate, Dr Evans Duah will be attending this year’s Young African Women Congress (YAWC) slated to take place between October 27 and 31 in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.

Mr. Daniel Osei Tuffuor, Founder and Executive Chairperson of the YAWC Network – organizers of the event – confirmed the news on Friday afternoon.

The Young African Women Congress (YAWC) Network is a fraternity of young women of African descent living in Africa and in the diaspora who seek to be empowered and be themselves, change-makers for leadership and development on the continent.

At the heart of its mandate is the mobilisation of women from the grassroots level for leadership and development through advocacy, training and projects.

This year’s edition is being held under the theme: “Enhancing Women’s Economic Empowerment through Innovation and Technology.”

The event is expected to have over 1,500 participants from across the African continent and in the diaspora.

“Dr. Duah’s appearance at the event will be a huge boost to our efforts in providing a lineup of not just prominent Africans, but also influential Africans whose works are felt on the global stage, and whose works set the stage for the next generation of African leaders to take up their place on the global scene”, said Mr. Osei Tuffuor.

About Dr Evans Duah

Dr Evans DUAH, ICCE, ACMA, CGMA, CA, CGIA, MIoD, FCILG, is a French and English-trained business expert with over a decade of experience in banking, finance, entrepreneurship, and business consultancy across Europe, North Africa, and West Africa.

He is a distinguished lecturer who doubles as the Head of International Relations and Programmes Section at the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) in Ghana.

He was honoured in 2022 by the Institute of Certified Chartered Economists (ICCE) as the Most Influential Young Economist Sub- Saharan Africa and selected as a 2022 Mandela Washington Fellow by the US Department of State.

He is also a Chartered Financial Economist (ICCE, USA), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance (CILG, USA), a Member of the Institute of Directors (MIoD, Ghana) and a Mandela Washington Fellow (US Department of State).

He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, an MPhil in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, an MBA in International Business and a BBA in Strategic Management complemented by certificates from renowned institutions like the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA.

He consults and plays major roles in many business start-ups, merger-acquisition, fundraising, partnership and collaboration, and feasibility studies for international companies intending to establish subsidiaries in Ghana or West Africa.

He is also an advisory board member for one of the biggest companies in Europe, Not-for Profit in USA, and a board member for some businesses in Ghana.

He is the author of the best-selling book Intentional Wealth 2.0 – Building with The Pentagon Wealth Model.
