Talented Nigerian singer and guitarist, Chioma Ogbonna popularly known as Cill Soul has described her genre of music.
According to the fast-rising star, her genre of music is called ‘Cill Soul’ which she says is a blend of different kinds of music genres.
“These days, people don’t work with genres anymore. It’s like a blend of different things, but I like to call it Cill Soul," she said in an exclusive interview with MyNigeria.com.
"It is a blend of different sounds that I have actually… with sounds that I love, I can’t really say but I think it’s basically alternative music."
“Like that’s the foundation, but it’s not entirely alternative music even though that’s the basis of my sound, but I like to call it, Cill Soul,” she added.
Cill is known for songs like ‘Lover’, ‘Tatarata’, and 'Again and Away'.
She has also made popular covers from Joeboy’s ‘beginning’ and Teni's Billionaire'.
A native of Edo, Cill told Face2Face Africa that her musical journey was inspired by her elder brother.
