The Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Education and Google for Education, represented by its Global Managing Director, Kelvin Kells.

The strategic agreement marks a major step in Ghana’s drive to modernize education through the integration of advanced artificial intelligence technologies into teaching and learning across the country.

The partnership is expected to strengthen digital literacy, build the capacity of teachers, promote innovation in classrooms, and equip Ghanaian students with critical 21st-century skills needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven global economy.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Education Minister described the collaboration as a transformative milestone that reinforces the government’s commitment to leveraging technology, innovation, and strategic global partnerships to improve educational outcomes and prepare Ghanaian learners for the future of work.
