This year, as they prepare to release their 28th album, Joyous Celebration continues to set the tone for African choirs, captivating audiences with their dynamic performances and inspirational messages.

Founded in 1994 by Lindelani Mkhize, Jabu Hlongwane, and Mthunzi Namba, Joyous Celebration has grown from humble beginnings into a cultural institution. The much touted upcoming album, which took place at the Durban ICC on the 30th and 31st of March 2024 was a testament to the choir's enduring appeal and innovative spirit of excellence.

With a trio of singles set to drop tomorrow, May 30, at 10 AM on all digital platforms, the release date for the full album remains unconfirmed, though indications suggest it will be in June.

With a tagline that says “Going Back To Our Roots “ the yet to release album has received massive attention even before its official release.

Amid high expectations for the release, the recording took patron who thronged the Durban ICC to church with a blend of original compositions and classic hymns, all delivered with the passion and precision that Joyous Celebration is known for.
