Kenyans warned against use of home DNA kits

Kenyans have been warned against the use of home DNA test kits which are sold on digital platforms.

According to Kenyan authorities, the sale of the DNA test kits has not been assigned to any retailer which are been sold at a cost of 800 Shillings ($6), BBC.com reports.

In a statement by the Ministry of Health, Pharmacy and Poison Board it said;

"Consumers are encouraged to report to the Pharmacy and Poisons Board in case they come across any retailer selling related products," it said.
