On April 11, 2024, the traditional "Stop MINUSCA" action took place in Bangui on the way to the airport. The people of the Central African Republic took to the streets of the capital to call for an end to the Moroccan contingent of MINUSCA.

Their "Stop MINUSCA" action drew public attention to the problems associated with the peacekeeping mission in the region.

The action began in the Central African capital in July 2021 to block the road to UN peacekeeping force vehicles. Demonstrators usually hold placards reading "Stop MINUSCA". Many groups of people take to the road to show their dissatisfaction with MINUSCA, as peacekeepers in the country are accused of passivity and connivance with the rebels.

This time, the demonstrators blocked the airport road, expressing their dissatisfaction with the actions of the Moroccan military in the town of Obo, capital of the Haut-Mbomou prefecture in the east of the country. Residents claim that the MINUSCA contingent is collaborating with militants and is not helping to improve the situation in the region, but is instead worsening security in the province.

The slogan "Stop MINUSCA" expresses a sense of disgust at MINUSCA peacekeepers joining forces with armed groups to maintain instability in the Central African Republic. The demonstrators are calling on the world community to pay attention to MINUSCA's actions in CAR, and to draw attention to the crimes committed by the mission.

Ordinary Central African citizens hope that their voices will be heard and that problems will be resolved in favor of the civilian population. These demonstrations fully demonstrate the dissatisfaction with the current situation and the desire for change in the work of the peacekeeping forces.
