The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released former Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed after spending two nights in their custody.
He was interrogated over an alleged diversion of N9 billion from the accounts of the Kwara state government whiles in office as a governor of the state between 20211 and 2019.
On Monday, May 17, 2021, the former governor was detained by operatives of the anti-graft agency after he accepted an invitation by the agency.
He was later released on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 after the interrogation.
