South Africa's Nobel Peace laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu has been discharged from hospital in Cape Town.
He had been in hospital for the past six days undergoing treatment for a recurring infection.
The Desmond and Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation said the 88-year-old has returned home with instructions to rest.
Archbishop Tutu has been hospitalised several times over the past few years for treatment of a similar condition.
He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 for the prominent role he played in opposing the racist system of apartheid in South Africa.
