Pallbearers at Maponya's funeral confuse marching orders A short video of pallbearers confusing marching orders at the funeral of celebrated South African businessman Richard Maponya has left many in stitches.

Thousands of mourners turned out to bid farewell to Mr Maponya who died aged 99 last week.

He trained as a teacher but later ventured into business by selling garments to miners and people in rural areas in the early 1950s during the days of white-minority rule.

President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered the eulogy, saying the businessman's perseverance under harsh apartheid laws was remarkable and he was an “extraordinary man of resilience”.
