Egypt star Mo Salah was named Player of the Tournament as Liverpool claimed the FIFA Club World Cup title with a 1-0 victory over Brazilian side Flamengo in Qatar on Saturday.
Salah did not manage to get onto the scoresheet in the two games Liverpool played, but was rewarded for his all-round performances as Roberto Firmino netted the winner in extra-time of the final.
It has been a bumper year for Salah, who also helped Liverpool top the UEFA Champions League title, as well as the UEFA Super Cup.
He will hope to keep them on course for a first English league win in 30 years in the second half of the campaign as they hold a commanding 10-point lead over second-placed Leicester City with a game in hand.
Liverpool return hope to play Leicester away on Boxing Day, before a home meeting with Wolves on December 29 in what is a hectic festive season period.
They will also be home to Sheffield United on Jan. 1 and to Everton in the FA Cup three days later.
