Morocco came from a goal down to win their first Africa U-23 Cup of Nations title at home against Egypt.

It was a charged atmosphere at the Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat as thousands of spectators turned up to watch the final game of the tournament which started with eight countries.

Egypt took an early lead thanks to the brilliance of Mahmoud Saber who curled home from a tight corner. He scored with only 9 minutes into the game.

Saber was shown the exit door after scoring following a hasty challenge on Moroccan player, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli.

Morocco then started pressing Egypt after they were reduced to 10 men.

The pressure eventually paid off after Yanis Begraoui scored the equalizer in the 37th minute.

The hosts then got a last-minute goal in the extra time to win their first U-23 AFCON title and also the Olympics games together with Egypt and Mali.

Guinea can still secure a place as the fourth African side at the Olympic Games in Paris but they have to win a playoff against a yet-to-be-decided Asian opponent
