Nollywood actress, Stella Damasus has advised people not to wait till they are older before they start caring for themselves.
According to the actress, overusing one's body can lead to a shutdown in the future.
Stella hinted on the need to take rest, breaks and avoid stressing the body, adding that mental health and physical health is important.
"And she kept saying, 'you're moving now, you're doing all of these, you're not resting, you're not taking care of yourself because you're young, you're not feeling it. When you grow older, you'll reap the fruit of your labour' and I used to laugh. 'What do you mean? She said, 'when you're older, your body will start to reap the fruit of what you did to it in your younger days."
"So please don't wait till you get older before you start taking care of yourself. Not just for your mental health but for your physical body. Take breaks, rest and relax before your body will call you on the phone and say, 'hello, goodbye' and then it'll shut down on you. Don't wait for that to happen."
