The Government of Ethiopia and its people deserve a pat on the back for the huge success of the River Nile Dam, built without seeking a cent from a foreign Government. That is the way African leaders ought to function, not to be dependent on foreign handouts that, consequently, subordinate their power of sovereignty to another. The Government and the people of Ethiopia should be proud of their achievement.
