Ghanaian watchmaker and founder of Warrior King Watches, Patrick Amofah, has received praise from outgoing Swiss Ambassador to Ghana, Simone Giger, who described him as one of Africa’s finest watchmakers.

The endorsement came during a meeting in Accra on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, where Ambassador Giger was presented with a handcrafted timepiece from the Ghanaian luxury watch brand.

A video shared by Warrior King Watches on TikTok showed the ambassador expressing excitement while examining the orange wristwatch, praising its craftsmanship and design.

Ambassador Giger noted that the watch complemented the Kente cloths she had collected during her time in Ghana, including an orange and blue Kente cloth presented to her by President John Dramani Mahama during her farewell visit to the Jubilee House.

Her remarks attracted attention given Switzerland’s long-standing reputation in luxury watchmaking and its association with globally recognised brands in the industry.

She commended Amofah’s talent and described his work as a representation of Africa’s growing contribution to the luxury watch sector.

Patrick Amofah is the founder of Warrior King Watches, a Ghanaian luxury watch brand that combines traditional African influences with modern watchmaking.

The ambassador’s visit and recognition of Amofah’s work have further highlighted the growing potential of Ghanaian craftsmanship and African luxury brands on the global stage.
