The city of Tamale in the Northern Region will on Saturday and Sunday host the first event of the 2018 edition of GNPC Ghana Fastest Human competition.
The competition which was launched a few weeks ago is scheduled to start in Tamale and the founder, Reks Brobby has confirmed that everything is set.
“All is set for the Northern Region Open, the athletes are ready and we are expecting the best form of athletics this weekend”. , Reks Brobby disclosed.
The 100-metre race which comes off at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium is expected to draw athletes from the Upper West, Upper East and Northern Regions.
Since its inception in 2013, Ghana Fastest Human has played instrumental roles in unearthing 100 metres runners for the country.
The contribution of Reks Brobby’s initiative to the development of athletics in the country cannot be overlooked as previous winners of the competition have represented Ghana at various athletics events
