In recent times a couple of NBA stars have made their way to Ghana to aid in the development of the sport in country.
This year another NBA superstar will ‘hit’ the shores of Ghana in July.
Coca-Cola Company Limited, Ghana Basketball Association (GBA) in partnership with Rite Multimedia, as part of their efforts to grow the sport in Ghana and the continent as a whole, will fly down a top notch NBA player into the country.
The three bodies last year brought Chris Bosh of Miami Heat into the country to embark on series of seminars and clinics for stakeholders in the country.
Chief Executive Officer of Rite Multimedia Mr. Yaw Sakyi who recently returned from a trip in the United States Of America has hinted sportscrusader.com about the next superstar who will hit the shores of Ghana by the middle of the year.
He said, “the next NBA star will be the biggest the Ghana has ever received”.
He said the idea behind this project is to develop and promote the sport, various basketball clinics are organized to enable the visiting NBA star interact and train promising basketball talents in the country.
Mr. Sakyi was confident the exercise will help develop the sport in Ghana.
