Denkyem Charitable Foundation is living no stone unturned in its quest to make basketball a major sport in the Ghana, and is putting more effort in creating avenues to support it.

The organization apart from making preparations to organize exhibition trials to unearth talents to be drafted in High schools in the United States of America is also planning a series of basketball clinics later in the year, which is to be supported by their affiliate branch in the United States of America, throughout the country.

This will be facilitated by the organizations VP for Basketball, former NBA and American star Pervis “the never nervous” Ellisson, who is domiciled in the U.S.A, and is expected to visit the country hopefully before the end of this year.

Students mainly from schools in the Greater Accra, Central and Ashanti Region are already involved in the project, and are being given the necessary support they need in terms of uniforms, trainers, balls etc as well as coaching expertise to enable them grow their talent.

Are we going to see any Dikembe Mutombo’s, Hakeem Olajuwon’s, and lately a

Ghanaian by name Ben Bentil who is making waves in the United states ? It looks like it’s just a matter of time.
