Ghana international Kevin Prince Boateng has tagged Cleveland Cavaliers power forward LeBron Raymone James as king of basketball after his success in the 2016 NBA finals.
James was named Finals MVP after scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and dishing out 11 assists.
The 31-year-old also scored his 16th triple double in the playoffs and seventh in an NBA Finals game – only two other players had recorded triple-doubles in a Finals Game 7, according to ESPN.
To better culminate the stats in Lebron's favour, he made history with the Cleveland Cavaliers after winning the NBA Finals, defeating the Golden State Warriors 93-89 in Sunday’s deciding Game 7.
This is the first major sports championship that a Cleveland team has won since 1964.
After the ecstatic night of basketball, AC Milan midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng took to his Facebook page to describe James as King and legend of basketball.
The future of Prince Boateng is still in limbo after reports in Italy suggested AC Milan were set to offload him as soon as his contract ends this summer.
Kevin seems to have a lot of affection for basketball and might be considering a career switch this summer should the inevitable happen to his football career.
