Di Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria don declare withdrawal of service across Nigeria for statement wey dem release on Saturday 27 September.

"Dis include all control room operations, panel operations, and outfield personnel," di statement tok.

Di association say all Pengassan members across offices, companies, institutions, and agencies gatz withdraw all services effective 00:01 on Monday 29 September.

Reason for Pengassan strike

Di association for dia statement say di withdrawal of service na sake of "Dangote Refinery unilateral action to sack ova 800 members of our association for joining Pengassan".

Dem describe am as affront to al workers for Nigeria and deliberate violation of Nigeria labour laws, di Constitution, and ILO convention.

Pengassan claim say Dangote refinery sack di workers sake of say dem join dia association and give dia jobs to Indians.

For dia earlier statement of Friday 26 September, Pengassan bin direct di chairmen of dia branches to stop gas supply to Dangote Refinery.

"All crude oil supply valves to di refinery gatz dey shut. Di loading operation for vessel wey dey go dia gatz dey halted immediately," di statement tok.

For dia statement on Saturday, dem say, "All processes wey involve gas and crude supply to Dangote Refinery gatz dey let off effective immediately.

"All IOC branches gatz ramp down gas production and gas supply to Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals."

Dem say di prayer point go include "call to God Almighty to give courage to dose wey dey for authority to rein in Dangote and im co-travellers on di need to obey di laws of di kontri".

Dangote Refinery react to directives

Dangote Refinery on Saturday 27 September describe Pengassan directive against dem as "brazen and shocking display of lawlessness and criminality".

Dem e no get any law for Nigeria wey back Pengassan to cut off gas and crude oil supplies to Dangote Refinery.

"Beside, e constitute a criminal conduct for Pengassan or im members to disrupt and/or interfere howsoever for di between Dangote and im various vendors for di supply of gas and crude oil to di refinery.

“No law dey for our statute books wey support or enable Pengassan to direct im branches make dem cut off gas and crude oil supplies to Dangote Refinery."

Dem say na third-party vendors sign dose contracts, no be Pengassan, and add say di association no get any right at all to interfere.

Dangote Refinery accuse Pengassan of “economic sabotage for multiple levels,” and note say if dem enforce dia directive, e fit disrupt supply of petrol, diesel, kerosene, cooking gas and aviation fuel to Nigerians.

Dangote Refinery say such disruption go cause “untold hardship” for households and businesses across Nigeria.

Dem also warn say di directive fit scare foreign investors away and spoil Nigeria reputation for global oil and gas industry.

Dangote Refinery vs Nupeng
