Rich Moore wey be 71-years-old bin set out wit im dog Jack Russell terrier, Finney. Dem set out to climb Blackhead Peak for 19 August, but dem neva return home.

Na till 30 October dem find di body of Moore and di dog Finney bin dey by im side.

Di pipo wey rescue dem say na very "magnificent story of survival". Dem even reveal say dem meet di deadi body beside hunting small animals.

Delinda VanneBrightyn wey be one of di volunteer group Taos Search and Rescue, say di rescuers carry out unsuccessful search for long days. Dem find di steep western side of di mountain between wia oga Moore bin park im car and di top of di mountain.

Many weeks later, one hunter bin find Moore body for di San Juan Mountains wey be about 1.5 miles (2.5km) east for di peak of di mountain. Di dog Finney still dey alive but e dey weigh about six pounds wey bi half di original body weight.

Di recovery crew quickly fly enta di place next day. Dem carry Finney go one veterinarian and e don dey wit Moore family.

Tori according to VanneBrightyn be say Finney somehow survive di situation as e dey hunt small animals such as mice while e dey also manage to avoid predators like mountain lions, coyotes and bears.

"Jack Russells dey pretty fierce, make I tok am, dem be tough little dogs," she say.

She add say dog Finney na "magnificent story of survival" and na testament to her dedication and loyalty to her owner.

"We dey very glad... say dog Finney return to di family becos dey don lose dia loved one, but dem still get dis wonderful, loyal dog," Ms VanneBrightyn tell AP.
