Accra, April 24 GNA - West Africa's reigning Super Heavyweight body building champion, Sylvester 'Cobra' Dennis has made known his strong desire to join the Ghana Weight lifting national team if given the chance.

Briefing the GNA Sports, the Takoradi based winner of the 2005 West Africa Muscle Mania championship said that his passion for weightlifting comes with his passion for bodybuilding, but will make his official decision after meeting the national Weightlifting Association soon. Dennis who is currently training in his private gym at his Takoradi based Efiakuma estates for the World Muscle Mania bodybuilding championship slated for the U.S. state of California said that he is not a new entrant in weightlifting since he participated and won in a regional championship held in the Western Region organised by the Association.

The 27-year old unsuccessful sailor, whose boxing dream was dashed at an amateur level, maintained that with dint of hard work and sponsorship, his aim of lifting the world cup in June will materialise. Dennis who arose into the bodybuilding tournament without any single competition said that it is better to put one's body in shape especially for sportsmen
