The Board and Management of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation (GAF) continues its aggressive development of Armwrestling with an upcoming training dubbed “The Training of the Trainer" program.

Personel have been drawn from the Security Services, Gyms, Tertiary Institutions and the general public for the 5-days certification program for

would-be Armwrestling referees and coaches in Ghana.

The Course Director, Nasr Elsayed Youssif from Egypt who is the Head referee and technical director for Africa Armwrestling Federation will spend some days with the National Armwrestling Team the Golden Arms, taking them through competition rules, battle techniques and power drills as the team prepares for the 2017 African Championships in Nigeria.

Mr Nasr will also have an interaction with the media and take them through the jargons and reporting of Armwrestling.

The coaches and referees after they have been trained will enhance steady nationwide development and competition quality.

“ The Ghana Armwrestling Federation will not relent on it's efforts to introduce and popularize the sports of armwrestling nationwide making it the preferred and the most played sport in Ghana. We will continue to invest our resources until that investment support comes from corporate Ghana”- Charles Osei Asibey, President of Ghana Armwrestling Federation told www.armwrestlingghana.com .

The 5-day certification program which is sanctioned by the World Armwrestling Federation (WAF) and the Africa Armwrestling Federation (AAF) is fully sponsored by the Ghana Armwrestling Federation (GAF) and will run from 24th - 29th May, 2017 at the Media Centre of the Accra Sports Stadium from 9:00am each day.
