Ghana Armwrestling Federation lead board, coaches and the athletes paid a courtsey call to one of their supportive sponsors Kofikrom Pharmacy after their recent success in the Africa Armwrestling Championships in Lagos, Nigeria.

Golden Arms won 22 meals ,ten gold medals, six silver medals and six bronze medals.

The managing director of Kofikrom Pharmacy, Mr.Kofi Addo-Agyekum congratulated the team for such a splendid performance.

He stated that, the sport is young in the country but what they did in Nigeria was beyond imagination.

“First time appearance in such an international championship with twenty two (22) medals is something special.i am overwhelmed.”

He added: “I have realized that for the major sports a lot of sponsorships are available and for the lesser sports, it looks like people are not looking there but but it is an avenue where we can tap talents for our younger ones. I feel that if many more of my outfit can really get together to sponsor lesser sports , it will really enlighten the talents in our young ones and eventually get them better things to do for themselves so for me, it is going to be a long term sponsorship that we will do to support this lesser known sports.”

He finally advised the athletes not to engage themselves into any sexual engagement when going into sporting competition.

“God made men very special and women very special. If you undertake a sexual exercise i mean penetrative sex and you ejaculate, as a man you bring out twenty to one hundred and twenty sperms at a time, each sperm contains 250 calories of energy so while you are going through sexual gratification, sexual pleasure and enjoy yourself, you are wasting away energy especially for the men.

“If you really want to go into competition, you have to go off sex for sometime and fortified the energy that you need to be able and win otherwise you will waste all your energy.”
