MP floors Policeman in Armwrestling Challenge

Residents of La and environs were on Saturday treated with a very competitive but fun-filled armwrestling competition.

Hundreds gathered to witness the 2018 K-Balm Armwrestling Challenge at the forecourt of the Accra’s premier pharmaceutical shop, KofiKrom Pharmacy.

A lot of people including security personnel, professional armwrestlers, politicians, and celebrities took their turns to show their armwrestling prowess but one contest that stood out was the battle between the Member of Parliament of Ledzokuku, Dr. Bernard Oko-Boye and Inspector Tony Mensah of the Ghana Police Service.

The Police officer was tipped to floor the politician but Dr. Oko-Boye pulled off a victory that stunned the crowd.

Tahiru Mohammed emerged the overall winner of the competition after defeating Randolph Welbeck in the men 19kilograms category.

Alberta Frimpong of the Ghana Police Service was the biggest winner in the female category, conquering Mary Aryeetey in the finals of the female 80kg category.

KofiKrom Pharmacy assures Armwrestling Association of support

The Chief Executive Officer of KofiKrom Pharmacy, Kofi Addo Agyekum has assured the Ghana Armwrestling Association for their unflinching support.

Kofi Addo Agyekum has said that his company remains committed to the development of sport in the country and will partner the federation in their quest to make armwrestling the number one sport in the country.

“Armwrestling is doing well in the country and we are happy with the progress. We want to assure Charles Osei Assibey that he can call on us whenever he needs help. We are committed to this course and we’ll ensure that armwrestling becomes Ghana’s preferred sport”, he said.
