Kumasi based Saani Mohammed emerged the new Ghana’s Most Strongest 2013, when he managed through heavy obstacles and stiff challenge from his master, the defending champion, Faisal Alhassan and fans favourite Kwame Kwakye “Barak Obama” at the premises of TV3 last Sunday.
Saani Mohammed who took home 10,000 ghc, a giant gold trophy, gold medal and products from the sponsors did not have it easy despite massive cheers from his fans. He showed to be the potential winner from the preliminaries and proved to be a worthy champion with a great height masculine figure.
Barak Obama was presented with an amount of 6,000 ghc, a silver trophy, silver medal and products from the sponsors as the former champion, Faisal Alhassan also from Kumasi got the third position prize of 4,000 ghc and bronze medal, as well as products. Ebenezer Nii Armah showed true sportsmanship giving the top three the challenge, encouragement and motivation. He had 2,000 ghc and products from the sponsors as well as recognition participating to the final.
The grand finale of Ghana’s Most Strongest season two was graced by Professor Azumah Nelson, former WBC World boxing champion, Dr. Anyah CEO of Holy Trinity Spar and Health Farm, Mary Ann Acolatse, Director at TV3, Mr. Yartey, President of the Ghana Body builders and Weightlifting Association and hundreds of supporters of the finalists. The event was very entertaining with the support of musicians and an enthusiastic crowd that were disciplined, making the whole show fantastic.
Tor Faisal Alhassan, though he could not win, he has been able to train the new winner and he felt really satisfied.
Obama was disappointed, but he took the decision of the judges and technical men in good faith and promised to be back next season better prepared and more daring. TV3, the best station best in news and entertainment were the organisers of the show which drew a wide TV viewership, especially from outside Accra.
From the experiences gathered this season, next year promises more participation, fun and surprises. Ghana’s Most Strongest is sponsored by Holy Trinity Spar and Health Farm, Vits Noodles, Fiesta Condoms and Charger Atagui Drinks Ltd.
