Cricket: Team Ghana poised for African T 20 Division One

Captain of the Ghana Cricket team Peter Ananya has admitted that he and his team -mates face a mountain to climb when they entertain Namibia in ICC African T 20 Division One clash later today, Friday 27th of March in South Africa.

Team Ghana made history in 2014 when they defied all odds to book a place in the ongoing ICC African T 20 Division One Championship.

The competition which is currently underway in Benoni in South Africa will have Ghana competing with Namibia, Kenyan, Uganda and Tanzania in Division One as well Botswana in a one game playoff in the WCL ODI playoff.

Peter Ananya is hopeful the team will make history despite their opponent’s impressive performance in the last edition of the championship.

“This championship will be difficult, but we know we can again make history, this is going to be our first competition since we made it into the Division One”.

“We know there are tough opponents but we will make history when the tournaments start”.
