Idas Sports inflict historic defeat on Buffalos in Rugby 15s League*

The third round of matches were played at the Adisadel Schools and Colleges Park in Cape Coast on Saturday 25th January 2014.

In the thriller of the day, Idas Sports beat defending champions Cosmos Buffalos 8 - 5 in a closely contested game to hand Buffalos their first ever defeat in the history of the Ghana rugby 15s League.

In other games, Dansoman Hurricanes white washed Mfantadisc by a whooping 54 - 0, whilst Legon Titans beat Accra Sharks by 15 to 0.

Black Panthers and Abura Bombers both received 20 goal points and the maximum game points because their opponents were unable to field teams within the stipulated time for report.

These results put see the Titans maintain the top spot with nine points followed by Dansoman, Idas Cosmos and Panthers in 2nd , 3rd , 4th and 5th respectively.

The final leg of the league comes off at the University of Ghana Rugby pitch on Saturday 8th February 2014. The day will also witness the launch of the Tug Rugby Trust Project; a child rugby project.
