She chose Monday, September 4, 2017 exactly 13 years ago when her deceased husband, Nana Kwaku Agyeman first established in a small capacity the Sankofa Radio, to launch the new 24-hour Sankofa Radio (on-line) in Toronto.

The launching saw some pastors and elders in the Toronto Ghanaian community consecrating the studio and equipment of the new radio station at 168A Oakdale Road in Toronto onto God.
They included the chairman of the Ghanaian Clergy Association of Toronto, Pastor Eric Amoah, the head of the Apostles Continuation Church in North America, Apostle Charles Anokye Manu and Elder and Mrs. Afoakwa of the the Ghana Pentecost Church in Toronto.
The Ghanaian Canadian Association of Ontario (GCAO) was also represented at function by a member of its Advisory Board, Joe Eyiah.
Mrs. Aboagye was overcome with emotions when she took the microphone to thank those who have been working with her to keep Sankofa Radio active since the passing away of her husband and promised to keep the torch of communication lit by her husband alive by truly serving the Toronto community and all Sankofa listeners through the world.
The presenter of the launching program was Yvonne Kelly Buah who is the worship coordinator for the Sankofa Radio. She was supported on the keyboard by Uncle George.
