The Ghana Association of the Capital District of New York State has expressed its sincerest gratitude to the Joshua Foundation of New York for the immeasurable assistance to Ghana. The Foundation recently shipped $7 million worth of drugs and medical equipments to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.
Mr. Lorenzo Hodges, the Founder/President of Joshua Foundation of New York, together with Board members of the Foundation including Dr. Kwadwo Sarfoh, a Professor of Africana Studies at the University of Albany, traveled to Ghana to present the donated items to the authorities of the hospital. At the presentation, the Regional Minister, Hon. Owusu Ansah joined the hospital authorities in thanking the Foundation and expressing the hope that similar donations would follow in the future to enable the hospital to meet the health needs of the population.
Mr. Hodges has assured the Ghana Association of the Capital District of New York that the Foundation will continue to help Ghana and the people of Ghana to meet some of the medical needs. He sees the activities of the Foundation as “trying, in its own little way, to serve God’s children.” Mr. Hodges thanked FEDEX for its assistance in shipping the donated items to Ghana and expressed the hope that the Company would continue to assist the Foundation in the future. The Foundation’s website is www.jfofny.com.
Mr. Hodges regards Ghanaian hospitality and the rule of law as contributing favorably in doing business in Ghana. Mr. Hodges is so motivated that he is planning his next visit to Ghana with more needed assistance. Ghanaians in the Capital District are pleased with these wonderful expressions of sentiments from Mr. Hodges and wish to join all Ghanaians in expressing their appreciation to the Foundation and congratulate our fellow Ghanaians in the home front.
